Quiche Reader

Sync troubleshooting on macOS

When using Quiche Reader, all your saved and archived pages are synchronized behind the scenes to your private iCloud storage.

If your queue and archive are not properly synced, please verify the following on all your devices where Quiche Reader is installed.

Turn on sync

In app menu, go to Quiche Reader ▸ Preferences...
Turn on Sync queue and archive.

Use the same iCloud account

Go to System Preferences ▸ Apple ID.
The email address under your name must be the same on all your devices.

Check your iCloud storage space

Quiche Reader uses a very tiny amount of space on your private iCloud storage to store the URLs to the pages you saved.

Go to System Preferences ▸ Apple ID.
If your storage is full, sync can not work. Please read Manage your iCloud storage on Apple Support to find out how to free up space.

Turn on iCloud Drive

Go to System Preferences ▸ Apple ID.
In Apps on this Mac using iCloud, turn on iCloud Drive.

Allow Quiche Reader to use iCloud

Go to System Preferences ▸ Apple ID.
In Apps on this Mac using iCloud, click Options... next to iCloud Drive.
Scroll down and turn on Quiche Reader.app.

Trigger sync manually

In app menu, go to File ▸ Sync.

Force sync

If you verified all of the above and you are still running into sync issues, you can attempt a force sync to reupload your queue and archive stored locally to iCloud.

In app menu, go to Quiche Reader ▸ Preferences...
Click Force Sync...
